Works Dept launch
Written on Monday 8th of November 2010
The Works Dept was launched by Exposure Surveying Ltd to demonstrate how damp and timber related building defects could be resolved by using environmental controls, sympathetic maintenance and informed repair strategies to help conserve traditional and historic buildings.
Company founder, Lee Harper wanted to further help clients who were frustrated at their attempts at trying to find a contractor with the necessary skills and knowledge to implement his recommendations. So the Works Dept was born, providing a fantastic opportunity to help prevent further damage to our built heritage caused by the indefensible use of chemical treatments, remedial techniques and the use of incompatible materials.
It is hoped that our ethos and new service appeals to all, from the owners of the vernacular cottage to the guardians of landmark properties, no matter the size of the project, large or small.
