Rope Access
Although our roots are in the conservation of historic buildings, we are always keen to evaluate and embrace any new technology or techniques that we think will enhance the services that we offer our clients. We work to IRATA guidelines, BS7985 and Work at Height Regulations 2005. We have the full support of Safetech rope access specialists during our investigations.
Cost Effective
Rope access has been successfully integrated into the conservation and maintenance of buildings for a number of years. Tasks such as routine maintenance, the removal of vegetation from guttering and measured surveys have all taken advantage of the speed, cost-effectiveness and flexibility that rope access offers.
We have taken all the advantages of rope access one step further. Now you can commission us to undertake building diagnostic assessments at height, reassured that it is our specialist who will be assessing the defects and making judgments as the investigation evolves.
We have found that for a fee less than would be charged for just having a scaffolding erected, the client benefits from all the advantages that a rope access inspection brings, an investigation undertaken by a specialist with the full support a leading rope access provider.
Minimal Disruption
Our investigations at height allow us to assess defects in buildings and structures by climbing up or abseiling down churches and other buildings with awkward access, causing minimal disruption to the day to day activities within the building.
Contracts have included condition assessments of glue laminated timber structures in open public spaces and investigations into decay in the roof structures of historic buildings.
Sensitive Working Practices
The projects that we become involved with are usually on sensitive sites such as the interiors of ecclesiastical buildings, large historic houses and castles.
We undertake both proactive and reactive condition assessments of timbers, install environmental data logging equipment for long and short term monitoring programmes.
We welcome your enquiries about any challenging projects that will benefit from the many advantages of rope access.
