Road trip! We carry out surveys in France occasionally, residential clients mainly, anywhere from Brittany to the Dordogne. This particular property was in the Haute Vienne, Dept 87. The survey was straight forward, however, my fear of automated hotel booking systems was realised! The sinking feeling creeping over me when the hotel security system states, 'there is no reservation'. I ought to have taken my old VW bus, the rock 'n' roll bed would have been most welcome, although the office may have queried the necessity of a lengthy road trip!
